An expert damage appraisal is an independent assessment of the cause, extent and value of the damage — inspected, measured, photographed and written up as expert evidence you can use in your claim. It is expert appraisal in the true sense: evidence, not advocacy.
To be plain about the boundary: we provide the expert evidence and reports. You stay in control of your claim, your communications and every decision about how to proceed. The fee is agreed before work starts.

Questions, answered
What people ask before instructing
What role does Claimology take in the claim?
A deliberately narrow one: we inspect, measure, analyse and report. The resulting evidence is yours to use, while communications and decisions remain with you and any advisers you appoint. You stay in control of your claim.
Will my insurer accept your report?
Insurers weigh evidence on its quality and its author. Our reports state the method, cross-reference every finding to photographs and readings, and are prepared under a named Chartered Construction Manager with the basis of expertise stated. No one can promise what an insurer will decide — what we control is that the evidence is difficult to dismiss.
What if your findings don’t support my claim?
Then you will be told before money is wasted pursuing it — plainly and privately. An appraisal that only ever agreed with the customer would be worthless to you the one time you need it to be believed.
